Q. What time do I need to have my child at school?
A. The school is open for students at 7:30am and classes begin promptly at 8:00am. If you arrive later that this, you will be considered tardy and will need to report to the office for a late slip before going to class. Dismissal is at 2:48pm.
Q. What is the policy of checking my child in and out of school?
A. All students will need to sign in at the office if they arrive at school after 8:00am. Students may sign themselves in if they are late, but always need a parent or guardian to sign out of school. Parents cannot sign their child out of school with a note or a phone call. You must come to the front office. Check-outs are not allowed after 2:00pm unless you show an appointment card at the time of check-out.
Q. Where do I pick my child up if they are a car-rider?
A. Students can be picked up out front between the main entrance and the bus port. Students will not be allowed to walk to the road or cross the street to get in a vehicle due to safety issues.
Q. My child had their cell phone taken during the school day. How can I get it back?
A. Cell phones, as well as other electronic devices, may be picked up by a parent or
guardian after 3:00pm.
Q. How do I make an appointment to speak with my child’s teacher?
A. Teachers are usually available to speak with parents during their planning periods or after school. You may call the school to set up a time.
Q. How do I make an appointment to see a principal?
A. The principals are available after school has dismissed for the day. You may call or come by the school to schedule an appointment.
Q. My child forgot their lunch money. Do I need to come to the school to bring it?
A. If your child has forgotten their lunch money, it is not necessary for you to bring it that day. The students are allowed to charge lunch and can pay it back the next day.
Q. My child forgot to take items to school; can I bring them during the school day?
A. We make announcements after 2nd block and then again at the end of the day. If a student has items in the front office to pick up, they will be notified at this time. As a rule, we don’t interrupt class time to call a student to the office.
Q. When can I pay school fees?
A. School fees will be accepted in the front office anytime during the school year. You may pay with cash or check; exact change is required if paying with cash.
